Nothing Is Permanent
Like everything in life, the brain is malleable. It's true that old habits die hard, and you can't change other people against their will, but people can change. If you're craving a new reality, you can change, too. Nothing in life is permanent. Tragedy can strike at any time, but so can joy. You can train your brain to look for the positive outcomes as well as the bad. You can learn to be resilient in the face of adversity, and you can discover a side of yourself that isn't dictated by your culture, your upbringing, or even your biology. All you have to do is accept this fact: Everything is impermanent. And take advantage of it.
