Your Light Burns Bright
Well, we're back from the beautiful, vast, relentless desert that is Joshua Tree, and as such back on social media.
Honestly, I wish I could have stayed offline for longer. There's something freeing about forgetting what a big world we live in... similar, I'm sure, to how freeing it can feel when you DO realize how big the world is for the first time. But it is easy to feel so small when you're constantly tuned in to the enormity of the web and reminded how many other people share this planet with you. It's easy to lose yourself and lose sight of who you are and who you have the power to be.
If you have a weekend to spare where you can turn off your devices, avoid the TV, and tune back into your center and the centers of the people around you, you will quickly discover just how BIG and SIGNIFICANT you are.
YOUR LIGHT BURNS BRIGHT.
Think of all the stars you can see on a clear desert night. We are awestruck not by one star's beauty but by ALL the stars as they light the sky together.
Your light does not burn in comparison to the 7 billion other lights on this planet.
It is not meant to be seen as brighter or dimmer or bigger or smaller or better or worse, it is simply meant to BURN BRIGHT—as brightly as you allow it to.
We will need your light in your lifetime, so I hope you take the opportunity to fan the flame when and where you can.
For me, that means going "dark" from time to time. For you, it may be yoga or rock climbing or something else entirely. But I hope you find it because you deserve to see the light inside you as it glows. 🌵✨🌵
